Pistachio clinic day two, 6 months after day one
i'll keep it brief
This is a b-r-i-e-f post as, after yet another sleepless night, an early start AND a 9 hour stint at the hospital today, some rosé and beaucoup de Dancing de Kitchen is ON my agenda for tonight. Hell yeah is it!
Why, you may ask...? Well, other than for the flipping obvious reason, of course*.
*stress
Well, let me tell you, my friend.
The dosing started at 8.50am... and so did the waiting, as always, but this time... the outcome was not what I was expecting...
Keeping oneself distracted is an interesting challenge
a surprise result
After a massive six doses [do not adjust your screens, readers, that is correct; I said six] - Abi tolerated a cumulative total of SEVENTEEN pistachios in clinic [YES, READERS, I SAID SEVENTEEN, FOR GOODNESS' SAKE]. With a just a whiff of an itchy throat, and no more.
Compulsive note-taking gives me a [possibly delusional] sense of control
what does this mean?
I'll tell you what this means! It means that my daughter, after just six months of religious, daily OIT for pistachio [the largest skin prick reading by far for 4+ years] has now been signed off her daily pistachio protocol, and now just needs to maintain her tolerance with 'a few pistachios' a week.
Can I process this news? Nope. Will drinking rosé and kitchen dancing help? Well... for the sake of research... I'll report back.
